Getting to the Studio

thestudio is located about 50 yards up Cannon Street (from New Street) on the right (or 50 yards down from House of Fraser on the left). You'll see thestudio and our internet cafe on the ground floor. .
 
By Rail
There are three railway stations within walking distance of thestudio: Birmingham New Street, Snow Hill and Moor Street. New Street Station is just two minutes walk from thestudio. Train times and fares can be found here

Walking from New Street Station
On leaving the platforms onto the main concourse, take the escalators opposite up to the Pallasades Shopping Centre. At the top of the escalators turn left and head towards Foot Locker. Turn left again and immediately right (HMV will be on your right, Holland & Barrett on your left). Proceed towards the exit and at the bottom of the ramp turn left onto New Street towards the glass tourist information centre. The next turning on the right is Cannon Street.

Parking
There are several NCP car parks within walking distance of thestudio. The nearest is Pallasades, just two minutes walk away, next to New Street Station. The postcode of this NCP car park for satnav is B5 4DQ.

Walking from the Pallasades NCP Car Park
You can exit via the shopping centre.

From The Pallasades Shopping Centre follow the signs to the exit, turn left just before Foot Locker (HMV will be on your right, Holland & Barrett on your left). Proceed towards the exit and at the bottom of the ramp turn left onto New Street towards the glass tourist information centre. The next turning on the right is Cannon Street.

From the North via M6
Leave the M6 at jct 6 (signposted Birmingham East and Central) then join A38(M) motorway. Continue forward onto A38 (signposted City Centre, Bromsgrove) entering Birmingham. Still on A38 you will go through St Chads Queensway underpass (signposted Bromsgrove) then branch left (signposted Convention Parking) and merge onto A38. Paradise Circus is the roundabout in front of you. At Paradise Circus roundabout take the 1st exit (signposted Inner Ring Road, Solihull A41, Coventry A45) and then the first left onto Brunel Street. Turn left again onto Navigation Street and right at the traffic lights into Hill Street. The entrance to the Upper Pallasades car park is on your left.

From London and the South East via M1 & M6
Leave the M1 7 miles past the Watford Gap service area. Take left-hand lanes, then join the M6 motorway (signposted M6 The North West, Coventry (North), Birmingham). Leave the M6 at jct 6 (signposted Birmingham East and Central) then join A38(M) motorway. Continue forward onto A38 (signposted City Centre, Bromsgrove) entering Birmingham. Still on A38 you will go through St Chads Queensway underpass (signposted Bromsgrove) then branch left (signposted Convention Parking) and merge onto A38. From London and the South East via M40
Exit M40 at Jct 3A and take right-hand lanes onto M42 (signposted The West). Continue along M42 to Jct 3 (signposted Birmingham South, Redditch, Evesham), then at roundabout take the 3rd exit onto A435 (signposted Birmingham). Follow the A435 (signposted City Centre) for approx. 8 miles, via Kings Heath and Moseley until it ends at Haden Circus roundabout. Take the 1 St exit onto A4540 (signposted Ring Road A38M. M6, M5). Continue on A4540 for approx. half a mile (merge left when required and follow the signs for Bromsgrove A38 over 1 roundabout). Then at traffic lights turn right onto Bristol Street (signposted City Centre and Bull Ring) Continue forward through underpass (signposted Inner Ring Road North and M6, West and M5). Branch left (signposted Convention Centre and N.l.A.) then merge onto A38 up to Paradise Circus roundabout. Take the 4th exit at the roundabout (signposted Inner Ring Road, Solihull A41, Coventry A45) then take the first left turn onto Brunel Street. Turn left again onto Navigation Street and right at the traffic lights into Hill Street. The entrance to the Upper Pallasades car park is on your left.

From the South West via M5 and A456 (Hagley Road)
Leave the M5 at junction 3 (signposted Birmingham West and Central) then at roundabout take the 3rd exit onto A456 (signposted Birmingham). Stay on the A456 for 7 miles (via Quinton and Edgbaston). At Five Ways roundabout take the underpass leading to Broad Street and Birmingham City Centre. Half a mile along Broad Street you will pass Symphony Hall and the Birmingham Wheel on your left. At the end of Broad Street is Paradise Circus roundabout. Take the 3rd exit (signposted Inner Ring Road, Solihull A41, Coventry A45) then the first left onto Brunel Street. Turn left again onto Navigation Street and cross over the traffic lights. Turn left onto Pinfold Street and right onto Stephenson Street and follow it round to re-join Navigation Street tuen right at the traffic lights into Hill Street. The entrance to the Upper Pallasades car park is on your left.


Disabled Parking
The closest disabled parking spot is on Waterloo Street which is just around the corner from Cannon Street. Delegates would need an Orange or Blue Badge. Birmingham City Council information for disabled parking can be found here a map of all disabled parking in Birmingham can be found here
